Like the iPhone version, the Apple Watch version function virtually the same, except there is no explore mode - at least for this current version.

Once you started the Musixmatch app on the Apple Watch, it will shows 2 menus: Now Playing and Identify.

Now Playing mode, based on my testing, works only for Apple Music app. FYI, I'm still using iOS 8.3 right now, so I don't know about Beats 1 or Apple Music yet. Hopefully they works with Musixmatch. I have tried Spotify, but didn't work. The app didn't detect the song played from Spotify.
However, if you play any song from your Music app, the "Now Playing" mode will turn red and show you the song title complete with the album cover. Press the "Now Playing" menu to show lyrics of the song currently played on your iPhone.

The other mode, "Identify" (in the iPhone app, this mode is called "MusicID"), is to identify any songs play from your phone using any apps, such as Spotify or nearby your phone (your surrounding).
On my test, Musixmatch app on Apple Watch is quite fast when identifying the song - depends on your network strength and internet connection. On my test, within less than 5 seconds, it already showed me the lyric of the song currently play at my phone, and the best is it scrolled through until the exact sentence the song currently play so I can directly start singing.

So, right now, wherever and whenever you are, you can start singing songs!

This app offers in-app purchases in form of subscriptions, if you are a FREE users, you will only able to access basic features and will see 3rd party ads.
This app needs internet access.
Current version 5.0.4 requires iOS 7.1 or later.
